In April 2000, the Gift Aid scheme was extended to apply to any donation of any value, regular or one off, allowing charities to claim tax relief at the basic rate on donations made by individuals – this means that every £1 you donate is actually worth £1.25 to us, that’s an extra 25p for every pound you give!

Increase the value of your gift at no extra cost to you!

All that is required is a one off declaration that can be made by post or fax.

You must however, have paid an amount of income tax and/or capital gains tax at least equal to the tax that we will reclaim on your donation in the tax year that your gift is received.

If you pay tax at the higher rate you are also entitled to claim further tax relief in your annual Self-Assessment tax return.

Should your circumstances change or you no longer wish to subscribe to the scheme, then you can cancel your declaration at any time either by phone or in writing.
